More Brain Training (DS): I give my brain more training!

katykicker, Dooyoo
17 October 2010
  • Summary: I have recently received a free DSi (thanks Cokezone!) and I have been busy using my Lovefilm membership to try out lots of games for it. However, this game is one that I purchased from Amazon for just £7.99 as it seemed like a game that I would use everyday and I price that I couldn't turn down. The game is very simple to load, just pop the small cartirdge in to your DS and turn it on.
  • Pros: Fantastic game, lots of different games, easy to grasp.
  • Cons: None.

  • Summary: Brain training made for the DS started the craze of 'Brain Games'. The game says it can make your brain younger through a series a challenges that use every aspects of your DS as well as your brain. The game makes you take a series of tests that measure the age of your brain. these tests include word memory, counting and reading. All of which really test you but there is also an element of fun.
  • Pros: Short sharp bursts of play, free sudoku game
  • Cons: Can get boring in the long term

  • Summary: More brain training is an excellent follow up game from brain training. If you have never played any of these games before, basically they help to stimulate your brain and get you thinking. It is meant to help you improve your brain, and it even tells you what brain age you have! For those of you who have played the first one, this one is a lot better! They have added in new exercises and training games!
  • Pros: better mini games than the previous one
  • Cons: /

  • Summary: More brain training i purchase this game after exhausting the original , this too was a brilliant game i enjoyed it thoroughly , but it again can repetitive towards the end of the game after you have completed all the tasks. It is very similar to the original version, You still have to hold the ds like a book and after entering your details you are ready to go, and you write you answers with the stylus pen, it some of the task you have to say your answers which proves...
  • Pros: excellent exercise for the brain

  • Summary: This is the very first game that I ever bought to go with my nintendo DS. It was on offer on amazon, so when I bought the nintendo DS, I got a game for a fiver (or something like that). This is a really fun game that you can play on your own or with family members on the multiplayer option.
  • Pros: relieves boredom
  • Cons: once everything is completed gets a bit repetitive

  • Summary: This is even better than the first title. It has many more great features and brain training exercises. The fact of the matter is that this title really increases your brain activity if you really do it everyday. I have even made up a program for myself - When ever i grab my nintendo ds lite, i plug the cartridge with the first brain training title, complete all exercises there ( I personally love the ones with the math problems ), afterward i change the cartridge to the...
  • Pros: Great exercise programs, fun to play, great tracking system, fun secrets to discover.
  • Cons: None, this game offers you what it offers you. its great!

More Brain Training (DS): Great family game

  • Summary: I have never played on Brain training and just bought this one as it was newer. If you like this type of game then you will love this. It is not boring in any kind of way and constantly keeps you stimulated. The fact that it gives you your brain age, and if you like me your age will be a lot higher than it should be, keeps me playing for hours just to beat it and get a lower age.
  • Pros: For the whole family
  • Cons: repeats instructions all the time

Good Fun

  • Summary: Brain Training is a simple idea for the DS that has been executed quite well and has lead the way for many other developers to catch on to the idea and add personal improvement titles to their portfolio. As Brain Training really paved the way for many other improvement titles it would be fair to say it has really revolutionised the way many of us play games, especially to those who didn't play games before who have been introduced to this genre and the gaming world.
  • Pros: Great combination of mini games, you can see how stupid you are :P
  • Cons: Quite repetitive

New Games to Keep You Going

hainesash, Dooyoo
15 July 2009
  • Summary: This is the follow up to the very succesful Brain Training... Just incase you couldn't tell from the name :P. This time players are offered a new selection of brain puzzles and challenges to complete. If this is your first experience of Dr Kawashima then the first time you test your brain age you are more than likely going to end up with a pensioners brain, although fear not with a bit of practice on some of the games mini challenges you can bring your brain age back to...
  • Pros: a completely new catalogue of mini games to complete
  • Cons: Again like the first very repetitive
