Moon

Game Boyz
10 June 2009
  • Excerpt: I remember seeing early screenshots of Moon for the Nintendo DS. Developed by Renegade Kid the early indications of what Moon had to offer up was quite intriguing. It looked as though the game, which follows the 2007 release of Dementium: The Ward, also for the DS, was going to be another testament to the development team’s programming expertise on Nintendo's dual-screened wonder.

Moon

The Gamers Temple
26 May 2009
  • Excerpt: The DS is not a system known for first-person shooters, primarily because the DS' controls are not a natural fit for shooters. In spite of this limitation, shooters are occasionally released for the DS, one of which is Moon. Moon uses a control scheme that's been employed for DS shooters before, and its a scheme that works reasonably well.

Moon Review

Strategy Gaming Online
30 January 2009
  • Excerpt: When I first heard about “Moon” on the DS, I couldn't help it—I imagined a game built around a hero who runs around “dropping trou”. (Yes, I am that juvenile.) Anyway, the second Moon's film-like opening cinematic started to play, that third-grade frame of mind vanished, replaced by serious anticipation.

Moon (DS) Review

Vooks
28 January 2009
  • Excerpt: When Dementium: The Ward was first announced and released, I was pretty much in love. What more could I love about a horror title that was designed exclusively for the Nintendo DS? When Dementium was released, I was surprised at how much effort went into the title, but it wasnt without its shortcomings. Moon is the second title from the same developer, Renegade Kid, and it does a lot to improve on most of my complaints with Dementium but also still has its shortcomings.

Moon

Gamer vision
21 January 2009
  • Excerpt: Name: Moon Genre: First-Person-Shooter Platform: Nintendo DS Renegade Kid’s last title, Dementium , made its place on the scene by being one of the best shooters to be released on a handheld sytem. It was set in a creepy, otherworldly hospital, and took advantage of the DS’s abilities to create a spooky 3D adventure. Despite the sytem’s limitations, Dementium was fun, and great as far as DS FPSs go, but was definitely a big fish in an incredibly small pond.

Moon

Digital Chumps
20 January 2009
  • Conclusion: (6.4 - Average) From a technical standpoint, Moon is downright amazing; it boasts some of the best visuals on the Nintendo DS to date at an amazingly fluid frame rate, an instantly intuitive control scheme, and numerous FMVs complete with voice acting. Unfortunately, however, technical prowess is only half the battle, and where Moon really suffers is fun factor.
