Summary: A handheld addition to Metroid Prime seems like a good idea, but when all of the steering is done with the stylus on the bottom screen, it's a little less than ideal. Especially while traveling. Exploring is easy enough, but the gameplay mechanics mixed with the N64-level graphics make combat (especially fights against quick bosses) unamusingly frustrating.
A step lower than the console games, but it is still somewhat decent.

Summary: A classic Nintendo favorite brought on it's latest adventure to the DS is just what everybody needed. This game features multiplayer with bots and Wi-Fi, but the single player won't keep you at bay for long. Controls: The control setups are decent. You can choose left handed touch screen controls, right handed touch screen controls, left hand button controls, and right hand button controls.
anyone who gave this game 5 stars must have 2 inch long hands or a stylus built into their bionic arms

Summary: imagine playing quake. now imagine someone told you that you had to play with a wacom tablet instead of a mouse. now imagine that the story line was even cheesier and more predictable. Thats about it. I'm not out to say that this is a bad game. For a shooter on a handheld, its a reasonably entertaining game. If it was your first experience as a first person shooter it wouldnt be bad. But as other reviewers have mentioned, the game is repetitive.
Summary: This is the game that comes with the DS when purchased..It looks very well and offers very smooth controlls while taking full advantage of the DS' touch screen.Very impressive gameplay that feels very similar to PC keyboard and mouse controles.the demo features 4 modes of play: Regulator-practise your aim as you go thru a "holographic" training area Survivor-See how long you can last Morph Ball-test your skills at controlling the morph ball by going thru different...
Enjoyable but short. Poor control scheme is the major setback.

Summary: This is a fairly decent game that I would recommend to Metroid fans, but if you are not a fan of the series then you will likely not enjoy this game. The story is fairly lacking, and the game feels like a series of challenge missions rather than one continuous game. The main issue is that the DS/3DS is not a game that does well with first person shooters, making the controls fairly awkward.
Summary: Ok lets start at the start - the title Nothing whatsoever to do with the game, no metroid's, no metroid prime I can understand no metroids(just about)you know different galaxy and all that but the fact there was no metroid prime is massive let down. The main game is shocking, retaining none of the metroid feeling and making it just a basic shoot em up. The scanning feature (one of my favourite parts, nerdy I know) has been totally ruined.
Conclusion: There are a lot more better shooters out there, and having a shooter on the DS sounds cool and new but its not all that good. This game lacks a lot of content, the bosses aren't so good I find and like in a few other reviews, this game is very repetitive.
