It's a good buy for true comic fans - especially for those that have some comic lore under their belt.

The Must-Have TCG Video Game

Jolson, Amazon
1 August 2013
  • Summary: Sleek interface, sizeable card library, challenging difficulty curve, and the most robust deck editor interface I've seen in a game. The DS was made for Marvel TCG. There are a few bugs that are as random as they are annoying (e.g. Bishop can't seem to use One-Two Punch) but it is overall a fun and challenging game.

For marvel fans, not for tcg fans

  • Summary: I really didn't like this at all and i play a lot of tcg. It does have some unique elements, but the tutorial is terrible and too long. Gameplay is slow and user interface is not friendly. A marvel fan would definitely appreciate this game though. As a tcg player you most likely won't.

  • Summary: This was a great deal for this game. Came sealed and with the bonus promo card. The game itself is a bit tough but I would recommend it to any fans of Marvel and fans of Vs System.

Lots of fun for CCG fans

Tony Van, Amazon

  • Summary: This game has a great UI for the DS... much better then PSP or PC. The rules are difficult to understand at a casual level... if you play Magic the Gathering you should be right at home. The opponent decks are very challanging, so be prepared for many repeat battles... sometimes one mistake can mean loss.

Not for sissies

  • Summary: I'm not much for reviews but I felt the reviews here were unfair. Let's get this out of the way first and foremost. This game is not for wimps or casual gamers. It has the steepest learning curve of any game I've ever played. Expect to spend a good day before you can graduate out of the n00b class and have any idea what you're doing. But I assure you, the time is well spent.

For pros only

  • Summary: Trading card games, real or digital, are an acquired taste to say the least. You either get them and dig them, or you don't. I myself have never really been into these kind of card games since Magic: The Gathering when I was a kid, and for one reason or another, decided to give the DS version of the Marvel Trading Card Game a try. Needless to say, why you get a decent card game here, it's really for pros only, and newcomers to the genre are far from welcome here.

Great card game, less than perfect video game port

MAL, Amazon
30 May 2007
  • Summary: The game is fun but the control scheme is very frustrating, it will take several hours to get use to the glitches, poor stylus touch recognition, your turns being skipped by accidental double clicking pass/next, etc. If you can get passed all this, it is a fun game.
