Summary: Decently-Solid Mario Party game. The only handheld version in the series. Board design could be better. Only 2 of the 5 boards play with regular "20-coin-moving-star"; rules. Story is unique but very short and simple. Unlockables are present but only used to look at. Mini-games are great! Some are easier than others yet the DS's dual screen, mic, and touch capabilities are used nicely. Some 2v2 games have terrible to amazing AI so is sometimes unpredictable.
Summary: This game was quite dissipointing because it looked so good but the graphis were pretty bad and it took me like a second to beat this game. But the positive part about this game is that you can play pretty cool minigames and their is a couple of cool courses to play on.I give this game a C
Summary: I've always enjoyed the mario party games. So when I heard that a mario party ds game was coming out I was a little more than excited. However this mario party game wasn't the party that I thought it was. STORY=6 Mario party games don't need a story so I don't even know why they bothered. The story is that which ever character you picked finds a star piece that fell out of the sky and its up to you to find the other 5 pieces and put them back together.
ok game, not a classic as the old versions of mario bro

Summary: Game is not like the old versions of mario brothers by any means, lots of sub title games to play that are interesting, but overall game is not what you have come to expect from mario brothers.
Summary: If you've played other Mario Party games this is very similar. Just like those other Mario Party games this one is best with people to play it with. I simply played the single player to unlock the extra board so it could be played multiplayer. But if you have even one other person with a DS and you both like Mario Party, I'd say go for it, it's fun.
Summary: I am a huge fan of the Mario Party games, and this was beyond disappointment. It was boring, over quick, and with only 5 boards to choose from, you get no where fast. Also the other little items and badges you receive, serve no purpose, at least to me. I wish with the advancement of the Nintendo DS, they would come out with more challenging games. Or at least more games for adult children.
Summary: Maybe I'm not the target audience, but I'm a 29 year old who got this game with a DS for Valentines day (my husband rocks!), anyhow, I think that the story mode is kind of boring because you have to wait for 3 coms to take their turns before you go, it would be better if I knew someone I could play this with, but I don't.
Excerpt: This game is surprisingly fun but takes a little bit of getting into. Basically its a board game and you take it in turn to throw the dice and make your way round. The only difference is, you are trying to get to the space which as a star, at the end of the game the person with the most stars wins. After the end of each round there is also a little minigame you play to earn extra points, when you have enough points, these can be redeemed for a star.
