In Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story, players are in control of two separate storylines. One features Bowser and his efforts to stop an arch-villain from taking over his castle. The other features the microbe-sized Mario & Luigi who must muscle their way through challenges (inside Bowser) to find their way out. Gamers take action to control Bowser from the inside – but without his knowledge. Players can switch between storylines at will. What happens inside Bowser affects what he’s doing on the outside. This game requires gamers to solve puzzles (as Mario & Luigi) and challenges behind the scenes to help Bowser overcome various obstacles and advance the plot. In some battles, Bowser grows so large that players must turn their Nintendo DS or Nintendo Dsi™ system sideways, blow into the microphone or tap on the touch screen with the stylus to keep up with the action. The game features the same hilarious dialogue that has been the hallmark of the Mario & Luigi series.

In truth, this bizarre adventure is tailor made for Nintendo fanboys. It's packed with in-jokes and Nintendo references that'll soar above the Brain Training crowd's head like a Star Powered aeroplane. Its greatest achievement is its pacing: it never loses focus over the course of its 20 hours. It constantly surprises with clever mini-games and stand-out, memorable moments, most of which, it must be said, involve Bowser. But it feels more like a cleverly strung together... Read more

Generally you can bet that a Mario game is going to be great, sometime games like Mario Party or Mario and sonic at the Olympic games are not to everyones liking, but the single player Mario games are some of the best around. An example of this would be Mario Galaxy which was voted by many to be the best game of last year. Here however is a Mario game for the Nintendo... Read more
