Not for my eyes

Summary: Just received the game today, and will put it back in the box and write off as a poor choice. Not only do you need a magnifying glass to play the game, but you really need one to read the little book that comes with it. I thought the mahjong game in Touchmaster was a little hard to decipher....this one is impossible for my 72 year old eyes. Yes, even with my reading glasses on.
Summary: I love playing Mah Jong on the internet and was anxious to receive this DS version. However I was very disappointed when it arrived. Tiles and characters on the tiles are EXTREMELY SMALL - infact, so small that I could not distinguish the detail of most. This was a total waste of money for me.
Summary: Just who is this game intended for? The type in the Instruction Booklet is way too small; the graphics are very poor; AND the instructions are poorly written. Come on, give this old lady a break! Even with my reading glasses on, I couldn't read it. Now to the game itself. The graphics were very poor. The tiles were too small and the action very hard to figure out. I wouldn' buy it again. It's quite possible I expected a lot more than I got.
Summary: I love playing Mah Jong on the computer and was very excited when I found one for my DS. I assumed they would be zoomed in on one side of the screen like the sudoku or crossword games. My mistake. I was in a hurry and didn't take the time to read the reviews. I would never have purchased it if I had. I will be reselling this on Amazon. Very disappointed.
Summary: First, I admit I now use glasses to read. BUT even WITH my glasses I could not make out the tiles. I kept trying for awhile thinking I would eventually learn to recognize the tile differences. Finally I gave up and returned the game [which I have to be REALLY frustrated to do!]. There must be other games you would enjoy more with less squinting. I hope someone figures out how to make the tiles larger because I love the game.
Summary: It is very similar to the solitaire card games which abound for the DS except that it uses the faces of Mahjong tiles and if that's all you want then get it. However if your looking for the skill and challenge of the real thing, you won't find it here. One of the games also appears to be unsolvable but I can't tell if I'm playing it correctly because the instructions are so brief they are virtually useless. Very disappointing implementation.
Summary: I bought this game for my son for Xmas as he really liked playing the real game of Mah Jong for 4 people using actual tiles. We were both very disappointed that this is not like the game we understood as Mah Jong. If you like patience then this might suit you, but if you like puzzle games then do not buy it. The tile graphics are also very poor so the actual game play is frustrating.
Summary: This was a complete waste of money. It has got to be the worst graphics I've seen and obviously, once it was opened I was no longer able to return it. DO NOT BUY IT EVEN IF YOU ARE A PUZZLE NUT LIKE ME!!
