Avoid If You Have High Blood Pressure and A Temper.....

Summary: Why will it frustrate the living crap out of you? 1. Spells, either you'll mix them up or sometimes, even though you draw the symbols correctly, the game won't recognize it. 2. Your main character keeps rushing to the front and gets himself killed...I even try moving him to the back but sometimes I gotta move them all and he eventually goes to the front. Very frustrating... 3.
Summary: I like RPGs. And I like a bit of action thrown in too. Your classic Zelda is my favourite kind of game. So I had high hopes for this innovative game that has you defeating evil and saving the world by casting spells with the stylus. Unfortunately, it just doesn't hang together. Two hallmarks of Nintendo's own games are that they are delightfully intuitive and completely immersive, but this contender fails on both counts.
Summary: The game starts off by explaining the story to you. It is quite long with quite a bit of text to read but it sets the scene. There is an evil person/being who was in charge of protecting the world who now wants to control it etc etc. . .a bit long winded and the graphics weren't great but I thought that it was just long enough and ended before I got really sick of it. This game is an action battle rpg. This means you move about on a battle area fighting monsters.
Conclusion: Unfortunately I bought this game when it was still at £24.99 a number of months back. I wish I had found it at £9.99 then as I would not have felt like I had wasted my money so much. I bought the game as a fan of Final Fantasy and wanted an RPG to play on my DS. To my misfortune Lost Magic was not as enjoyable as I had expected. The storyline did not interest me, the characters are somewhat silly, and all in all I have just found this game frustrating and boring.
Summary: This game was the reason I bought my DS. Not only did it look good but being a huge Ghibli fan i was eager to see the artwork on it. Unfortunately i havent spent more than a couple of hours on the game and that includes restarting it twice. Why the problems? Firstly the battles are hard, even the first few "easy" ones. It gets fustrating doing the same battle time and time again.
