Summary: It's time to bring the band with you on the go! Well, actually, this isn't the first time a portable Rock Band game came to be, but it is so for Nintendo DS players. Unlike Guitar Hero: On Tour and its sequel , you don't need a peripheral of any sorts to play this game, believe it or not. Instead, you use the Left, Up, X, and Y buttons to play your instruments, while using the L and R buttons (or the touch screen) to switch between them.
Summary: I had high hopes for this game and I found that it was OK a little below what I expected. The controls are a little bit weird and also I wish that there were more songs but overall, I give it a 8/10. There is no Addiction to this game so you get bored after a while.
Summary: So the basics of this game....there are 4 members of your rock band. As they are playing a song, you have to switch between them when prompted and use 4 buttons on your DS to play "notes" as they appear on the screen. The more accurate you are, the more $ you get so you can purchase upgrades for your band. I LOVE the music in this game!!! I'm glad that the makers decided to use the ACTUAL songs instead of using cheesy imitations of them.
Summary: This has become one of my son's favorite games. I haven't played it more than once, so I'm not writing this review from experience. But I've witnessed enough aunts and uncles playing it to know that adults and kids will enjoy this alike. The music is varied (from different eras), which I see as a positive. There are a few songs I don't let him play, because of language that isn't kid friendly.
