Lego Battles is an NDS game that is developed by Hellbent Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games, with gameplay focusing on the three main themes of LEGO® Battles. These three themes include LEGO Space, LEGO Castle and LEGO Pirates. Lego Battles also features “build and battle” LEGO gameplay through six story lines. Gamers are required to build their own LEGO bases and battle teams as they engage in over 70 different levels. Gameplay involves mixing and matching units to create customized LEGO squad. Some of the characters that can be found on LEGO battles teams are like pirate swordsmen, wizards and aliens. The game features dragons battling ninjas; and pirate ships launching broadsides against spacecraft and knights. Players can also challenge friends on the battlefield in multiplayer mode through wireless DS multi-card play. The game has an ESRB: E (everyone) rating for cartoon violence and comic mischief.

Gamers are required to build their own LEGO bases and battle teams by mixing and matching units in order to create customized LEGO squad and use them against the computer AI or in multi-player mode against other players. The game offers players either single-player story to test their strategy or Free Play mode to unlock hidden treasures. The game also features a multiplayer mode that allows players to pit their customized army against friends on 30 different maps via wireless DS multi-card play. These maps include battle grounds on land, sea and in the air. The game also features 30 different vehicles that gamers can utilize against each other and up to 55 playable characters which includes Alien commander, King, Dwarf King, Wizard, Gemma, Space Police Captain, Troll King, Sorceress, Queen, Biff, Alien Queen, Plisken, Captain Brickbeard, Lady Pirate, King Kahuka, Governor Broadside, Camilla, and Ninja Master (with the ability to use the Hero unit to cast special attacks on the battlefield). The game allows users to complete goals and mix and match unit from over 90 levels to create their fighting force, as well as supports multi-player mode for 2-3 players.
