Summary: I had great hopes for this game. The first few levels were OK, but starting with level 3, at the Jewel Quest stage, or the puzzle stage, the game will freeze and the only way out is to turn off the DS, and restart it. You will lose all your progress for the level, it will reset itself to the 2 minute level, and you have to work through the 2 minutes for it to reset to the actual minutes that you have to solve the various challenges.
Summary: I love puzzle and seek and find games but I have found that with this game the graphics are awful. In the Mysteryville section it's darn near impossible to find the objects as the graphics are so bad. The graphics in Jewel Quest are better but I didn't like the game play.
Summary: I got this because I liked the jewel match puzzles in in Jewel Quest. This game is disappointing to me because you have to do several seek-and-find screens to complete a level before you get a jewel match puzzle so seek-and-find is primarily what this duo is about. Not being a great fan of seek-and-find, this is more tedium than fun. I would have just preferred a jewel matching sequel to jewel quest.
Summary: I got this because I liked Jewel quest, but this is not as much fun. I like playing the Jewel board puzzles but with this you have to find items in order to earn the right to solve the puzzle board. Just not the same.
Summary: This game keeps freezing I have had to start with a new player to get it to go beyond the place it froze at (which will take a while) Game doesnt tell you what level you are on or how many levels there are. Not very good at all.
Summary: If you are thinking of buying this game, please think again. As games go, I found it very repetitious and dull, made worse by the tiny DS screen which does not handle this type of "search and find" game at all well. Some of the objects you are asked to find are just so tiny and so well hidden and often in deep shadow, that it is nearly impossible to locate them. Most irritating, is having to back track to nearly the start of the game if you fail to make a level.
Summary: After Professor Layton and then Pandora's box, this was very disappointing. Clicking on items found didn't always work and I found it impossible to proceed further through the game. Although it began quite well it deteriorated very quickly and became very frustrating when items found simply didn't register.
