Jam With the Band Review

GameSpot
30 June 2010
  • Excerpt: UK REVIEW--Jam With the Band aims to be a one-stop-shop for music fans, combining traditional rhythm action with a music creation tool. Sadly it doesn't live up to its lofty goals and ultimately fails to make either an enjoyable experience. A simple one-button beginner mode lets newcomers get on board, but it soon becomes monotonous, requiring you to tackle frustrating difficulty levels, which keep it from being fun.
  • Pros: Can be fun if played with some friends
  • Cons: Terrible-sounding MIDI music, Overly complicated controls, Dated presentation, Pointless career mode, Unintuitive music creation options

Jam With the Band

GameSpot
30 June 2010
  • Conclusion: Jam With the Band is a poor rhythm game. It's confusing and overly fast note chart layout makes it difficult to play, while the massive jump in difficulty between the amateur and pro modes means you'll have a hard time advancing through the lacklustre career mode. The basic studio is too restrictive, the advanced studio lacks the power to make it anything more than a notepad, and the perplexing restrictions placed on music downloads and uploads only serve to annoy.
  • Pros: Can be fun if played with some friends.
  • Cons: Terrible-sounding MIDI music, Overly complicated controls, Dated presentation, Pointless career mode, Unintuitive music creation options.

  • Excerpt: Anyone remember Daigasso! Band Brothers? The rhythm action game that was expected to launch alongside the original DS console back in 2005 but never actually found its way out of Japan? Perhaps not. But five years down the line and it's finally here, under the new Euro-friendly name of Jam with the Band.

Jam with the Band (DS) Review

Vooks
11 December 2005
  • Excerpt: This was the surprise title of the Japanese launch. It was announced for the first time in 2001 as GB Music. Nintendo probably decided that the game would suit its dual screen portable better and it was redesigned to fit the Nintendo DS.

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: Supreme multiplayer and an enormous variety of songs make this the best handheld rhythm-action game out there by miles. Use of the touch-screen, a crazy graphical style and addictive gameplay combine to make this a must-have for fans of the genre and a highly recommended purchase for everyone else.

Official Nintendo Magazine
10 May 2010
  • Excerpt: We've been hoping for Daigasso! Band Bros to be released in the UK ever since 2005. We'd assumed that this Japanese rhythm game developed by Nintendo would never see the light of day over here until Nintendo revealed it out of the blue a month ago and gave it a new name.

Gaming-Universe
29 June 2014
  • Cons: - Musik in Midi-Qualität - allein naturgemäß begrenzt motivierend

Tony Hawk’s Underground 2

Fragland
19 June 2012
  • Conclusion: Tja, Tony Hawk zal elk jaar een sequel opleveren.

Jam with the Band

GAMES.CH
19 August 2010
