  • Conclusion: In order to survive the perils of these dungeons, you'll need to equip Izuna with weapons, armor, and support items, which range from consumables like healing orbs and status-changing pills, to talismans, which can be bound to weapons and armor to boost their stats and abilities. It is here that the separation between those who will enjoy this game and those who will absolutely hate it begins, all thanks to what happens why you die.

NDS Review - 'Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja'

WorthPlaying
15 April 2007
  • Summary: Finally, a dungeon RPG strong enough for a man… but played as a hot chick! Bust out those nunchucks and get back to the old school, hardcore, monster bashing we all grew up on! See if you have what it takes to conquer the impossible levels and gruesome bosses.

Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja Review

  • Excerpt: I wasn’t that big on those RPGs that fly under the radar until part of the way through the PS2’s life. It was then that I heard about a little-talked about game published by Atlus known as Disgaea. I found the last copy that my game store had and picked it up. It took a bit to get into but I got going and, well, developed a fondness for almost anything that Atlus decides to publish.

Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja

Portable Review
24 February 2007
  • Excerpt: The dungeon crawler has a long and rich history. The simplest and earliest form of the role-playing game, it simply involves crawling around numerous dungeons, slaying monsters, collecting items, and leveling up. Yep, it evolved into the so-called “traditional” style of RPG, but a few fringe titles have remained dungeon crawlers in its purest form. Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja is one of those games.
