Hotel Dusk: Room 215 DS Review

Console Obsession
30 May 2010
  • Excerpt: There are some games that just stand out, and you just know from the second you start playing that you’re in for something special. For that feeling to stay with you for the duration, however, is a little rarer and I’m pleased to say Hotel Dusk succeeds in achieving this. I was up until 3:00 finishing it, just like a good game should. Hotel Dusk is a point ‘n’ click adventure but not quite as you or I are accustomed to.

Test Hotel Dusk : Room 215

Generation NT
16 May 2008

Hotel Dusk: Room 215

Game Boyz
1 April 2008
  • Excerpt: Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is the second graphic novel developed by Cing Inc. I have to admit I didn’t play their first one, Trace Memory, so when I fired up Hotel Dusk I didn’t have a clue what I was in for. I have to say that I was really hooked by the style of the game from the graphics to the gameplay, and anyone looking for something different from the usual RPG, platform or sports game fare should take a hard look at this game.

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (DS) Review

411mania.com
16 August 2007
  • Summary: Dusk is worth the scratch. While not everyone will love it, its one of those games so different you should try it anyways. Dusk is easy to like and easier to want to get more of. Still, everyone’s a critic these days and there are some people slinging mud at the Dusk like it spit at a churchyard. Don’t listen to them. Dusk is a fine game, real aspirations for the future.

  • Excerpt: Every once in awhile the game will have you solve a puzzle, in which use of the touch screen is usually emphasized. Nearly all (with the exception of one, really) of the puzzles are quite clever. Whether it’s connecting dots on a piece of paper to get a combination, or actually having to put the DS into sleep mode to turn something around; the puzzles never fail to leave a lasting impression.

Hotel Dusk: Room 215

Thunderbolt Games
30 April 2007
  • Excerpt: “a-ha!” Which is something you won’t really be saying a great deal of at any point during this game. Puzzle game that it tries to be, it ultimately becomes an interactive story book with tasks hindering your page-turning. And there’s certainly a good story here, but the fact that there are times when you try to turn the page but can’t, really frustrates more than it should.

Hotel Dusk Room 215

Evergeek
8 February 2007
  • Excerpt: No chortling fatheads, no stay-puffed playthings pilfering coins, no kiddie-up little doggies nor old-folks-home inclinations, yet a Nintendo DS game nonetheless. Weird, huh?
