Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth Remix (DS)

The Review Busters
17 September 2007
  • Conclusion: Gamers looking for that best kept secret on the Nintendo DS may not find it here. Hoshigami does offer the same game play we are use to from turn based strategy games, but there are a lot of little things that make this game unbearable to play at times. It isn't the worst game on the DS, it should tie fans of this genre over until we see the sequel to Final Fantasy Advance.

Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth Remix Review

6 July 2007
  • Summary: Hoshigami is an overcooked hodgepodge that's too unwieldy for strategy RPG newcomers and too imbalanced for experts.
  • Pros: RAP meter and attack sessions are good ideas and implemented well
  • Cons: Steep learning curve and abysmal tutorial leave you in the dark, Imbalanced gameplay renders physical attacks obsolete halfway through, Stresses level-grinding over actual battlefield strategy, Convoluted magic and combat relationships make battles and leveling a lot of work without much payoff

Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth Remix
