Frustrating levels, okay hidden object
23 February 2012
Summary: Hidden object levels in this game were fine, but I was not expecting the complexity of the "in between" stuff. I can see where some people would love the in-depth "turn here, twist there, put this here to make that run" but it got really old really fast for me. I like to play games for the ease and fun of them, so I like the hidden object type games. But I found that this one was difficult to figure out what to do to complete a level.
Summary: It didnt take me very long to beat all three people (even though they were the same until the end). At first I couldnt figure out what to do because there isnt much direction, so I used a walkthrough and I got stuck a lot and had to look in the walkthrough to find out what my next step was.
Summary: It really doesn't take too long to finish the whole game. The storyline is basic and the puzzles are fairly easy to figure out. Most of the time you don't even realize you're working on a puzzle. I had some issues with the screen randomly jumping to the other side of the room when I'm trying to tap on an item. This was especially noticable in the "seek and find" puzzles. Overall, it's not a terrible game but don't spend more than $10 on it.
Summary: If you can get it cheap, this game will fill a few hours. I didn't find it very entertaining as I spent a lot of time wandering from scene to scene trying to figure out my next goal. If you don't hit the scenes in the same order that the game developers intend you to (although you pick the scene from a map and in some cases you are given no direction as to which scene will be most appropriate) then what you do in that room/scene may make no sense until later.
Summary: I picked this game up used and I'm glad I did. It could have been a fun game, but way too short. Even with some false moves I finished it way quick. (And my lifesaver 'solve the puzzle' icon didn't work.) I turned it in after playing it once. Whoever said 'Once is not enough' wasn't talking about this game.
Summary: I really like this game. It has a lot of fun puzzles and "find this before you can do that" kind of stuff. Some parts are challenging, but not so hard that you want to give up. Other parts are just plain easy. The only bad thing is that the game is super short! I was really surprised when the game ended. I was planning on bringing the game on a trip with me and thought I'd start it before I left, but it was so short that I was done in only a few hours.
Summary: I agree the game was too short. But for what you get- the graphics, animation and music is pretty good. If you don't like dying in games, get this- it's easy to get through. Also it had a handy solve-the-puzzle feature so if you can't get through the puzzle just click it and you're good!
Summary: I agree with previous reviews for the most part. I really enjoy games like this (Broken Sowrd: Shadow of the Templars is phenomonal fun); unfortunately, it was far too short. I solved it in less time than it took to purchase it.
