Like Henry himself, this game harks back to a bygone era. An age of simple concepts done well, of patience-testing but rewarding challenges. The sun never sets on great ideas like these. Read more

Remember those old Reese’s Cups commercials – the ones where two people would bang into each other, one guy eating peanut butter, the other eating chocolate? The two flavors would get mashed together, and the unsuspecting pedestrians would rejoice over the exciting, new taste sensation they’d discovered. That’s my anecdote to describe Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure. It’s a blending of plaforming action and match-three puzzling that has come together... Read more

The first bowler hats were created in 1849 by the London hatmakers Thomas and William Bowler, who supplied them to the firm of hatters at Lock & Co. of St. James. These were ordered for gamekeepers that needed a hat that could stay on their heads while on horseback when they would ride through low-hanging branches in that area. Read more

Like its namesake, Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure has impeccable looks and questionable behavior. Not as fun as it looks. In concept, Hatsworth is the nostalgic gamer's paradise, a hybrid of puzzler and platformer dressed in retro clothes. On the top screen of the DS, the cocky explorer runs and jumps through lushly drawn 2-D jungles, islands, seas and cities. On the bottom screen is the Puzzle Realm where Henry Hatsworth's vanquished enemies are kept in... Read more

The platform- and puzzle genre in my opinion can't be on a better platform than Nintendos handheld. The idea to bring them together in one single DS game is therefore perfectly understandable and brings even truly innovative gameplay. That's why it's even more unfortunate that the finishing is a little weak. Maybe next time? Read more

This game is really like two games in one. You get the the excitment from the side scrolling platform levels + you have to stay on your toes in the lower screen puzzle. I love this game. It's really challenging and the levels are really long. Read more
