Most boring game I own

Wohali, Amazon
15 December 2008
  • Summary: I was really excited when I ordered this game and anxiously awaited its arrival. After all the previews I saw of it on a dvd made it look great. But was I ever disappointed when I started playing the game. I am a huge fan of Harry Potter books and movies even though I'm adult. The game was just boring, nothing but running back and forth through the same corridors and every few minutes having to play the same duel game or attend a DA meeting.

  • Summary: I couldn't really get into this game, I didn't have the patience. It has harry potter in it and other characters, im sure a kid would be more happy with it than an adult.

I hate the duels!!!

Charlotte S. Russell, Amazon

  • Summary: I have found this game enjoyable- up to a certain extent. I just recently purchased the nintendo ds and am still getting used to it. There are a lot of things- such as some of the mini-games that I enjoy. HOWEVER, I simply detest the duels!!! Why? you may ask-simply because I cannot seem to cast a spell worth a flip.

5th Year Good But Not Great For Harry Potter

  • Excerpt: I am a big fan of the Harry Potter series; I've read all the books and seen the movies and have played a few of the games too however this one was not what I expected. I thought the game was good but not exactly brilliant not that I didn't enjoy playing because I did. I've played a few of the previous games on the PS2 and old Game Boy console including the Chamber of Secrets and the Goblet of Fire but thought the Nintendo DS game versions would be much improved from...

The lessons return but the fun doesn't

Swiftyx, Amazon

  • Summary: I have only played 2 Harry Potter games on ds, this one and the GoF and this is the worse one. I have had this game for over 2 years and have yet to complete it. I am currently stuck on the fight at the ministry with the 3 death eaters fighting Harry and Sirius I think it is as I have only managed to take down 2 death eaters with only one character left who is usually unable to finish the last death eater.

  • Excerpt: I'd bought this game due to the fact that i'd recently played the goblet of fire ds game and enjoyed it so much that I was eager to play the next installment. I was really looking forward to it and i'd made sure that i'd gotten everything that i needed to do out of the way so that I could settle down for the evening to play this game. Within ten minutes of playing I was bored and very dissapointed.

  • Excerpt: This one of the very first games I got for the nintendo DS. At the time I thought that it would be a good starter game as I have watched all of the Harry Potter films and I suppose that I hoped that it would match up to the film. The basic concept of this game, is to run around the hogwarts castle and grounds to get to various places and to meet up with various characters like hagrid and your head of house.

A good little game for beginners, and not really for die-hard Harry Potter fans

  • Excerpt: As a fan of first the Harry Potter books and then the films, I thought it was about time that I tried a Harry Potter game on my DS. I hadn't read or heard any reviews about this game, so decided to pick the most recent game available at the time. The game begins in the same place as both the film & book - Harry and his cousin Dudley in a park. All that can be done here is to race Dudley home, followed by watching a cut scene with no chance of getting involved.

Vaguely disappointing, but fun while you played.

  • Summary: I was so excited when I bought this game, as I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I played for just over an hour a night for about five days, and after fighting a big duel, I returned to the Gryffindor common room, but all my friends had disappeared. I spent a quarter of an hour trying to find a solution online, but to my great dismay, all I found was "the game has ended", apart from finding and discovering a few things around Hogwarts.

Not worth buying

  • Excerpt: In my opinion this game isn't very good. The graphics are poor and after half an hour it is easy to have finished the game letting you wander around aimlessly doing nothing. You have no choice in what happens and you just get transported into diferrent classrooms and so forth doing random stuff. I was a great fan of the books but this was in my opinion below rubbish. For a game over £20 I could think of hundreds of better things to buy then this useless game.
  • Pros: Nothing
  • Cons: Not much to do . \_Bad graphics . \_Bad value for money
