Most boring game I own
15 December 2008
Summary: I was really excited when I ordered this game and anxiously awaited its arrival. After all the previews I saw of it on a dvd made it look great. But was I ever disappointed when I started playing the game. I am a huge fan of Harry Potter books and movies even though I'm adult. The game was just boring, nothing but running back and forth through the same corridors and every few minutes having to play the same duel game or attend a DA meeting.
Summary: I have found this game enjoyable- up to a certain extent. I just recently purchased the nintendo ds and am still getting used to it. There are a lot of things- such as some of the mini-games that I enjoy. HOWEVER, I simply detest the duels!!! Why? you may ask-simply because I cannot seem to cast a spell worth a flip.
Excerpt: I'd bought this game due to the fact that i'd recently played the goblet of fire ds game and enjoyed it so much that I was eager to play the next installment. I was really looking forward to it and i'd made sure that i'd gotten everything that i needed to do out of the way so that I could settle down for the evening to play this game. Within ten minutes of playing I was bored and very dissapointed.
Excerpt: This one of the very first games I got for the nintendo DS. At the time I thought that it would be a good starter game as I have watched all of the Harry Potter films and I suppose that I hoped that it would match up to the film. The basic concept of this game, is to run around the hogwarts castle and grounds to get to various places and to meet up with various characters like hagrid and your head of house.
A good little game for beginners, and not really for die-hard Harry Potter fans

Excerpt: As a fan of first the Harry Potter books and then the films, I thought it was about time that I tried a Harry Potter game on my DS. I hadn't read or heard any reviews about this game, so decided to pick the most recent game available at the time. The game begins in the same place as both the film & book - Harry and his cousin Dudley in a park. All that can be done here is to race Dudley home, followed by watching a cut scene with no chance of getting involved.
Excerpt: In my opinion this game isn't very good. The graphics are poor and after half an hour it is easy to have finished the game letting you wander around aimlessly doing nothing. You have no choice in what happens and you just get transported into diferrent classrooms and so forth doing random stuff. I was a great fan of the books but this was in my opinion below rubbish. For a game over £20 I could think of hundreds of better things to buy then this useless game.
Cons: Not much to do . \_Bad graphics . \_Bad value for money
Excerpt: "...you're trying to make a Harry Potter Collection, but not a good game to play. The graphics in this game are like Runescape AKA Terrible. The storyline is very short, and when the storyline ends, it says you have only completed 20% of the game, when there is nothing else to do! In the storyline of course, Voldemort is building an army, meaning Harry must do the same. Voldemort, however, is after one thing which he didn't get before. Harry's Prophecy! In ...
Pros: Hardly Any
Cons: Graphics, Storyline, Do the same things over and over
Excerpt: "I have Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the Playstation, and I thoroughly enjoyed that game, and I thought this would be similar. But no I was wrong. It doesn't have anyway near the same amount of tasks and challenges that the Chamber of secrets playstation game has. Most of the game you're running around the castle. I have also played the Playstation version of this and it is exactly the same, so I can compare it to the Chamber of secrets ...
Conclusion: This game was a big let down. Mini games are v. simple and all you seem to do is run around hogwarts with people following you that often get in the way. The duelling is also very boring and quite restrictive and if you are unable to beat someone then you can't move on unless you beat them so it takes forever to get past sections.
