Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DS Review
30 May 2010
Excerpt: Do you like fetch quests? If you answered yes, good, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is basically built up by them, if it’s a big no, then, unless you really want a holiday in Hogwarts and to play as J.K. Rowling’s famous creation, this game may not be for you. Exploring Hogwarts will perhaps be enough for many fans, not forgetting to mention that the DS’ stylus makes for a very good wizards wand.
Excerpt: What is it? Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is an adventure game based on the movie of the same name. You take control of Harry as he explores Hogwarts School, carrying out tasks for various people. The Death Eaters are causing mayhem in the Muggle and wizarding worlds, and Hogwarts isn't the safe place it once was.
Excerpt: Just in time for the release of the movie, the tie-in game is revealed. But is it magic or muggle material? Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince [DS] Review
29 July 2009
Excerpt: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has made its way to the DS, but the question is, if you’re not into Harry Potter, will you like it? Well, personally, I have seen one of the films and read some of one book, which, strangely, makes me someone who thinks it’s really good…but just never had time to sit and read thousands of pages. Immediately after turning on this adventure game, you realise that knowing the names and roles of the characters is an advantage.
Pros: Simple instructions to follow, Easy controls, Varied tasks to carry out
Cons: Many terms alienate non Harry Potter fans, Quidditch could be better, Controls can feel a little slow
