See lessSo what do we have here, overall? Without a doubt, Chinatown Wars is the kind of experience the DS has been missing. Though lacking a stellar story, the game is a more than solid iteration. Returning to its violent roots serves the game very well, and fans of the original top-down style of the first two games in the series are in for a nostalgiac treat. And when all the aspects come together, it’s a terrific package you shouldn’t be without. Read more
The DS, by many still unjustly seen as the favorite toy of housewives, children and demented grandparents, has a new top game. Rockstar makes a fantastic debute on Nintendos handheld and delivers with this Chinatown Wars a technically great, brutal, hilarious, adult and incredibly amusing pearl. "Must-have" is the word! Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a shining example of why no game franchise can be confined to any platform. It does not skimp on the in-your-face violence or cuss words and is just as addictive as any of the series' previous installments. The sandbox gameplay is plentiful and you will constantly be amazed at the amount of content that Rockstar has jammed into this DS cartridge. Read more
"GTA: Chinatown Wars" is probably the weakest GTA that has been released since GTA2. That’s no bad thing though, given the incredible strength of the series. The only weakness of the game is the multiplayer- it’s really disappointing that there is only local multiplayer, and the social club interaction is also pretty poor. Read more
Love or hate Grand Theft Auto , it's hard to deny that Rockstar deserves a whole lot of credit for Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars . Managing to take the full-on GTA console experience and shrink it down to the point where it fits on a Nintendo DS cartridge (and not lose anything in the process) has to qualify as a major technological achievement. To do this while retaining everything that makes the franchise a mega-seller while adding new wrinkles to the mix as well is... Read more

I traded in 5 gammes to get this over the weekend and have played it nonstop. The storyline is chock full of fun missions along with all the side missions and various activities you will have a lot to do. The interface is impressive and the PDA that you use in game is an amazing tool. The interface is great! Hijacking cars is much more fun now even in times where you have a time limit. This game has pushed the DS as far as it can go and Rockstar should be commended for... Read more
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars does many things correct. However, the replay level of the game is moderately high and will not be as addicting as the other major titles for the big console games such as Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad Of Gay Tony, or Grand Theft Auto 4, even Grand Theft Auto: The Lost And Damned Read more
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars may seem a bit archaic graphically for those who have become accustomed to the next-gen versions, but if you let the overhead view and cartoony graphics deter you from this little gem, you are making a huge mistake. GTA: Chinatown Wars is just as deep and compelling as any in the GTA Series and then some. The biggest kick in this game is that you can buy and sell drugs. Where was that in the previous installments? How can you even have a... Read more
