Not bad, but not terribly engaging.

  • Summary: I'm a huge strategy fan, having cut my teeth on the Disgaea series. This game is predicated on a pretty simple combination of strategy and JRPG combat. It's easy to pick up, and there are a few nuances to combat that make it reasonably engaging. That said, at no point is it very clever, it does pretty much nothing original or impressive, and while the sprites are OK (I'm a big fan of 2D art), they're not impressive to the point of making a marked improvement in a...

Fine For Passing Some Time

  • Summary: I really wanted an inexpensive new game to play on my DS, so I picked up Glory of Heracles. I like and know a lot of Greek Mythology, so that aspect of the game appealed to me. I expected this game to be similar in style to Golden Sun. It is certainly not of the caliber of Golden Sun. You run around and you fight, you buy new gear and you fight some more. The storyline goes nowhere fast and the fights get horrendously repetitive.

  • Summary: This game is boring. Everything thing moves really slow. Be it the story or all of the random battles you will have to fight. Which happens every 3-4 steps. There is also the silly box art!!! The main character looks like a total tool. But I will admit its the reason I bought the game. It just called to me and I couldn't resist. The dialouge was written by a 10 year old and is totally extreme to the max!!!

boring

  • Summary: I enjoy a good old fashioned RPG. I don't mind grinding. I am the type that tends to over level my characters. That said, I find this game BORING. It is extremely linear. You can't go back and revisit towns. It is easy to miss things (especially knowing which are important things are important to buy for later in the game), but then again it doesn't feel like it is all that important. Additional grinding just feels like a waste.
