Snackbar Games
24 May 2011
  • Excerpt: In the end, whether or not you need to pick up Lego PotC depends solely on how big a fan you are of the franchise. If you are not much of a fan of the PotC movies you can skip it without missing much, especially if you have played one of the other Lego games.
  • Pros: Same great
  • Cons: Of course, that may not be your thing

Snackbar Games

  • Excerpt: Samurai Warriors 3 is a current-gen game in visuals only. Player character models are nice, environments are detailed, and flashy combat effects are great. Sadly, the remainder of the package is stuck in the PS2 era.
  • Pros: Multiple control schemes, light RPG leveling and weapon upgrading
  • Cons: lackluster online, shallow combat, carbon copy of previous games in the series

Console Obsession
30 May 2010
  • Excerpt: It’s a funny old world, gaming. For instance: titles with massive amounts of money thrown at them have the nasty tendency to flop, with the years of work put in by hard-working artists and programmers wasted.

  • Conclusion: And you get all this for a RRP of just Ł24.99 or lower if you do some digging round the internet or a back-street dealer making Geometry Wars: Galaxies superb value. This is no bargain basement title however, with enough new features and replayability factor for both veterans and new players alike,...

VideoGamer.com
10 May 2008
  • Excerpt: Let's get something straight before we launch into the review proper: Geometry Wars: Galaxies is not a relaxing, calming handheld game that'll help eradicate the day's stress on the commute home like some virtual masseuse. Oh no. It is, in fact, quite the opposite.

  • Excerpt: The success of Geometry Wars, that old school, 2D space shooter first making it's mark as an afterthought Xbox Live game, may have taken the world by storm, but it certainly didn't take long to the powers that be to bottle that tempest and then milk it for all it's worth.

Geometry Wars: Galaxies (DS)

Crispy Gamer
30 January 2008
  • Excerpt: Nintendo's DS is probably the perfect platform for small arcade games like Geometry Wars . Sure, your friends and family can't watch you play, but the stylus is as elegant an arcade input device as has ever been crafted. Guide the shooty thing in the proper direction and watch the explosions.
