Summary: I am a father who grew up plaing video games and have owned multiple systems both console and portable. Based on other reviews I read, and the fact that I like Garfield and platform games, I was really excited to give this one a try. Unfortunately my thoughts quickly changed when I started actually playing it. For a DS game, I thought the graphics were very good. They are colorful and seem much more detailed than many of the other DS titles I've played.
Summary: This game was more fun than I anticipated! It's a lot like the Mario-type games, but a bit easier - thank goodness, because I'm not very good at these types of games. The game is very true to Garfield - collecting food instead of coins is cute. It took me about 4 hours to beat, but I wasn't really digging into the levels and collecting/finding everything there was to lcoate. The mini-games didn't hold my attention for long - the perspective is kind of weird.
Summary: As a child I used to "borrow" the comics from my dad's newspaper to see the Garfield comic and I also used to watch the cartoon every Saturday, so I am a big fan. At 24 years old, I am still a huge fan of Garfield. When I saw that there was a video game, I skeptical that it would make a good gaming experience, because, really, all he did was eat, sleep and insult Odie and Jon.
Summary: It's a really fun game with good graphics and levels, but in the end, there isnt anything to do. All you can do is open up a new folder and start over. But that itself isn't too bad. I would normally rate it five stars, but I like really hard games so I would say that if you like games that are easy but then challenging, this is the game for you.
Summary: This is not exactly a thinking game (although occasionally you need to think your way thru a level), but it is a great game that will keep you entertained for a while. The graphics are good but not great, but the entertainment value of the game more than makes up for it. Think Pitfall from the old Atari games (if you're old enough to remember it) with a sprinkling of puzzle solving and you'll get the gist of what this game is about.
