Summary: Dungeon Crawler with limited story and repetitive monsters and dungeons...Other than that ...It is still fun to hack and slash your way up the ladder! Bosses are ok, but easy to beat....maybe I just over-leveled my character.
Summary: This game won't blow you away but it was a fun diversion. I enjoyed the game because the game play was reminiscent of the Mana series, but with a shorter story line. It is your typical dungeon crawler but there was still enough variety of spells and weapons from getting too stale. Had there been more storyline, the game might have been a bigger hit, but the game was incredibly short (I beat it in about 6-8 hours).
Summary: From the Abyss is a simple, solid Action-RPG in the vain of games such as Secret of Mana, the Shining Soul series, etc. The XP and loot systems, while entertaining, are rather limited, making the whole gaming experience feel rather linear and pre-determined. That said, the game is an entertaining "my first action-RPG" dungeon crawler that works well for those mindless play sessions, such as while you're watching TV with your significant other.
Summary: I just finished playing this game and was so impressed with its game play that I immediately went out looking for other games with a similar style. If a game leaves me with that sort of impression, I consider it a very good game. You play the hero in this game, arriving in the land of Rubenhaut to save it from the Abyss Lord. The Abyss Lord had been locked behind the Abyss Gate for centuries, but he's gaining strength and threatening the land.
