List All 3 PricesThis remake of an 18 year old NES game, as that's what it is, is a very good idea and again delivers a strategy title to put your teeth in. If you're looking for an alternative for Advance Wars or like RPG elements with the necessary tactical combat then you certainly should give this game a chance. If you like it you'll be sure to have hours of qualitative and deep gameplay. Read more

Aside from that, and the obvious graphical fixes, we feel safe in assuming this is fairly similar to the first Fire Emblem, mostly based on how all the others after it we played are the same too. FE feels like a new experience even if it isn't, and despite small compromises made in the interest of a friendlier experience for newbies, it still plays like the hardcore series Nintendo fans desperately need right now. Reaching into the past, Intelligent Systems did Fire Emblem fans a favor by bringing us a chapter many of us had never seen. If you’re a fan of the TBS genre, then this is a great game to play, and with the added Hard mode and ability to take on actual... Read more
I like the first part where you separate mechanics from art. I think both have to mesh together to make a game truly great. And the whole fanboy tirade against Wind Waker’s “OMG Kiddiez” style seems really pointless in that context. I guess for a medium that is so intimately concerned with selling escapism to people, it makes sense they would get up in arms about such things. Read more
As a fan of the Fire Emblem series I was really looking forward to this game along with the purchase of my DSi. And, as a fan of the Smash Bros. series, I also found a strong hatred of Marth. But, as a hardcore gamer, I find that the characters in a game don't really matter as long as the story, game, grapjics, sound, gameplay, and entertainment are exceptional, then a game is good virtual experience. for Shadow Dragon is an exceptional title and somewhat fits these...
