  • Summary: This is a port of a port of a re-imagined version of one of my favorite games of all time... but unfortunately, the version this port of a port is based off of is absolutely terrible. First, as a PC game, this is god awful. Frame rate is capped at 15fps in battles, and the UI is the same that was used for mobile touchscreens, despite the fact that they disabled touchscreens, and then This is a port of a port of a re-imagined version of one of my favorite games of all...

  • Summary: It's not as good as the original or the sprite-based remakes, but I'm still giving it a 10 because its a refreshing, new way to experience this amazing game. It has voice acting, 3D model graphics and it's also way more challenging than the other versions. (This is a port of the mobile version, which is a port of the DS version.

  • Summary: Terrible port of a terrible version of a great game. I need 150 characters so I guess I'll just stress what a terrible port this is. Real bad. Bad.

  • Summary: Final Fantasy IV is an old school retro JRPG, so for those wanting to scratch that proverbial itch, look no further. This is a great game, challenging in the traditional JRPG way. One minor gripe I have is that it is somewhat overpriced for what it is. This is simply a port of the 2008 remake for the Nintendo DS, with resolution enhancements.

An Ideal Remake

  • Summary: When Square-Enix announced that they were remaking the fourth Final Fantasy for the Nintendo DS, one thought came to many gamers’ minds: were they insane? After all, they had just ported the title to the Gameboy Advance, so this announcement seemed to confirm that they were far more interested in making easy money off constant re-releases than in producing fresh content.

Back to my youth...

Ethan H., Amazon

  • Summary: I've been a fan of the Final Fantasy series since the mid 90's... I remember playing Final Fantasy II (IV) on my Super Nintendo, and it was a great game overall. When I learned that Square released it on the Nintendo DS, I knew that I wanted to play the game again. What I didn't realize was that the game was given a 3D overhaul in terms of the graphical presentation, and I was pleasantly surprised as to how great Cecil and company looked in 3D.
