Summary: Final Fantasy III is the first Final Fantasy game I've ever played, but after trying the game out I've fallen in love with the series and it definitely won't be my last. I'm not the most adventurous gamer; I love my Pokemon RPGs, and I like my Spyro and Kingdom Hearts and other plot-rich, somewhat hopeful games (OK, they're girly games, happy?).
Summary: I find Final Fantasy 3 on the DS to be very enjoyable. The battle system, equipment system (ability to have weapon and shield or weapon and weapon is a superb feature), and the job system are all top notch. The controls are just fine and navigation around and in the world is as well. Final Fantasy 3's graphics bring the game to life: in-game and the opening movie are aesthetically pleasing.
Summary: This game is pretty amazing. This is the first ever final fantasy game I played and I have to say I'm not disappointed. This is one of the best rpg games I've ever played. You play as 4 characters who are chosen as the warriors of light. There are many different jobs you can choose from which decide how easy or difficult certain opponents may be.
Summary: Final Fantasy III for the DS is a fantastic RPG, and a great appetizer for what proceeds it, the undeniably incredible update of Final Fantasy IV, also released on the DS. Some Pros +Final Fantasy III finally!! +Fantastic visuals +Excellent gameplay, and battle system +Great sidequests, Cool job system Some Cons -So-so story -Not nearly as good as the proceeding FFIV for DS -Too difficult at points with an almost out-of-hand encounter rate Overall, a MUST for all FF...
Summary: If you are a fan of FF, you will enjoy this game. However, after having finished it a few months ago, I am finding it difficult to remember what was unique about this game versus other FF games. There are games like Final Fantasy IV and VII that had sensational piques that will never be forgotten. File FFII in the canon of fun, but somewhat regrettable. Hey, if it's easy to forget, then maybe it's easier to pick up a couple years later and play like new!
Summary: I've been playing the Final Fantasy series in order across various consoles, GBA, PSP, DS, and now PSX. I'm about half-way through V now (PSX), meaning I've played IV (DS) since I played this one. This one is the winner. III had the best story line and game play of any of the ones I've played so far, though I really have to give props to the open-ended character stat system of the first one. If you're a fan of this type of classic RPG this is a good one to get.
Definitely not the best in the series, but worth playing.

Summary: Final Fantasy III was originally released in Japan only. They felt the American audience wouldn't appreciate it very much. I can definitely see why. It's not so much that the game was "too Japanese." It just didn't have the strongest game play or story when compared to the rest of the series. The game isn't terrible by any stretch (hell, I like it a lot better than II or V) and any fans of the series will find fun when they play it.
Summary: Final Fantasy 3 is unique in a number a ways,it was the first game to introduce a job system,it was the first fully remade FF. The list can go on,now you may be wondering why I called this a good Final Fantasy and not something more extravagant, well I'll go into that a bit later, for now lets focus on a few other things.
Summary: This game is incredibly difficult. I only recommend it for serious strategy players with lots of patience. While it can be totally frustrating it is also very addictive. An online guide is a must have to find hidden idems, LIKE SWORDS IN A CLUMP OF GRASS. Pretty good music and graphics, cool job system. Totally random attack powers, will die a lot, and have no idea where you are going or what your doing at points.
