Much better than expected game.

fuzzybear, Dooyoo
23 July 2007
  • Excerpt: I did not have very high hopes that the DS would be able to provide a decent football game experience on a small screen however I was pleasantly surprised by this effort which is a lot better than I expected. With other 500 teams to choose from you are syre to find your favourite team to play as and there are a number of modes such as career, single season or tournaments or you can go straight into a single one off game.

Review of Fifa 06

D. Lloyd, amazon.co.uk
20 March 2007
  • Summary: This Is a Rather Suprising game when u first play it, as it can be a challenging game when u want it to be, and there a few features to the game which are enjoyable like creting your own game, and playing a carear with ur faverate football team, and the comentating in the game is good along with the music tunes in the menu's, it is suprisingly easy to get use to the controls, so put to beginer on the difficulty and u will pile those goals in, and that is somthing which...

  • Excerpt: "I purchased Fifa 06, as i enjoy playing football games and expected this game to be good looking at videos and reading reviews. When it came home, i was happy that it was a good game when i played it. I liked that it featured many teams from different countries and different leagues including the english championship lower divisions as well as the Premiership. There is different modes which you can play including: career, challenges, season ...

Very Good

Mr. D. G. Wallace, amazon.co.uk
30 December 2005
  • Summary: This game graphically will never be as good as the PS2 or PC version’s so there is little point in trying to make these comparisons. However, I think the graphics are good enough to enjoy this handheld version of Fifa06. Everything is there that you might expect from a Fifa game, there is a good career mode in which you can take a lowly placed league team into Europe over a consecutive 5 season spell. Scoring goals is as exciting as playing on the PS2 or PC.

Not the best version of the FIFA franchise

G. Buller, amazon.co.uk
15 November 2005
  • Summary: I played a copy of FIFA 06 on the PS2 the other day and having owned the DS version for a month I can say that the PS2 really puts the handheld version into perspective. Graphically we all know that the DS cannot compete with its console brothers but come on EA, you could have tried a little harder! I seem to remember FIFA 96 on the N64 being better graphically than this and that was on a console supposedly not quite as powerful as the DS.

Fifa 06 my thoughts UPDATED!!

jakdup, Ciao
10 November 2005
  • Excerpt: "...was anything like the previous FIfa games it was sure to be worthwhile so i took a chance and took it home to test it out. Graphics & use of Screens when i started playing it the graphics were much better than anticipated and were of a good standard for a handeheld console. However it makes the pitch and stadiums seem much smaller and the players sem enclosed. The two screens for the DS are utilised fairly well. The top screen shows all the ...
  • Pros: great for handheld gaming, graphics at a high standard for the DS, great multiplayer modes and lots to keep you occupied
  • Cons: lacks some of the capabilities that the conscoles such as the PS2 or xbox offer and touch screen is rarely used .

Only Footy on DS!

D. Lloyd, amazon.co.uk
14 October 2005
  • Summary: I couldn't find a review anywhere for this game. I decided to buy it anyway, only because it is THE football game for DS! (It's the only sports game apart from Tiger Woods!) Right down to business, first of all there are a variety of game modes. The main one being a 5 year managerial career mode, you choose your team and go! You basically build up points by winning matches, if you don't win enough, you get sacked!
