Drawn to Life

  • Excerpt: By Gary Kearney I like sports games although I can't say I'm very good at sports in real life. Same goes for first person shooters and I can only guess that I'm not good at really shooting people, not do I care to find out. I really dig Guitar Hero although I have no musical talent. For the most part my abilities in real life doesn't hamper my enjoyment of a game. That changes somewhat with THQ's Nintendo DS release Drawn To Life.

Game Freaks 365

  • Excerpt: Platformers are nothing new. Indeed, they have been around since the days of Pitfall and Super Mario Bros. While the 2D platformer genre has gone through a lot of changes since those days, one thing has generally remained the same: the entire game was preprogrammed and uncustomizable. Until now.

Drawn to Life

  • Conclusion: In the end, Drawn to Life may only be seen as a “good” platformer, but its unique aspects make it better in general. It’s always a pleasure to see developers run with a solid idea, and in the case of Drawn to Life , it, was a heck of an idea. Now if the next game can improve upon foundations, it will be a thoroughly awesome game.

Drawn to Life Review (DS)

Yet Another Review Site
2 November 2007
  • Excerpt: A platformer with a unique twist. Drawn to Life. It is always nice to see a game that bucks the trends a little. One that takes a simple idea or a genre and just spices it up a bit. You know that it is not really ground breaking, but it is just enough to make the game stick its head up out of the crowd and say; “Look at me, I’m a bit different”. Such is the case with Drawn to Life. But let’s start from the beginning. You are the creator.
  • Pros: Unique drawing system. Accessible straight away.
  • Cons: May be a bit too simplistic for some.

Drawn to Life

9 June 2013
  • Conclusion: „Drawn to Life“ ist ein putzig-farbenfrohes Jump’n Run für selbsternannte Künstler und Pixel-Art-Virtuosen, mit dessen Aufstieg man im Vorfeld nicht unbedingt gerechnet hatte. Je nachdem aber, wie viel Zeit und Muße man letztendlich in das Spiel steckt, kann man nahezu jegliche Ideen in die Tat umsetzen und die vorgegebene Welt nach seinen eigenen Vorstellungen ausbauen - bravourös!

Deponia

GamingMedia.de
5 February 2012
  • Conclusion: Was soll man zu Deponia sagen?
