Summary: I grew up on the Dragon Warrior series. I've played all of the DW/DQ games, from the NES to PS1/PS2 and the DS. When it comes to the DS titles, DQ4 and DQ5 are amazingly good. This one isn't bad, but it felt "weird" do me. The story and game play, for the most part, were good. I really didn't like certain mechanics, however. For example, talking to EVERYTHING in a town before you can advance the story (including the animals) was frustrating and annoying.
Summary: Having been a fan of the DRAGONS QUEST series of games: I have found this installment an enjoyable addition the the series. Keeping with the tradition of the series, this game continues the trials and tribulations most fans of RPG's have come to expect. Those new to RPG's or the Dragons Quest series of games will find this installment addictive and challenging. A worthy compliment to the rest of the Dragons Quest family of adventures.
