Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation review (DS)
15 March 2011
Excerpt: features an interesting and surprisingly complex plot, that’s not actually its most impressive accomplishment. The game probably could have done just as well without doing anything interesting with its plot because the real appeal comes from its impressive scope, its ingenuity and its remarkable depth.
NDS Review - 'Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation'
3 March 2011
Summary: Combining classic role-playing adventure with new character options and enhancements, Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation offers hours of imaginative fun spanning several unique game worlds that can be enjoyed on the go.
Conclusion: Dragon Quest VI is yet another strong installment to the series. Though it wasn't able to surpass DQIII in terms of my overall love for the game, I did feel a similar sense of adventure due to the game's sheer magnitude of areas to explore. Though the game doesn't garner the same storytelling prowess as the previous two DS remakes (or even DQIX for that matter), it makes up for the presentation flaws through its size and depth.
