Summary: My grandson was thrilled with the game. He has all the others and was just missing this one. Although it was quite expensive it was worth it to see the look on his face when he opened the package. Excellent service from the seller.
Excerpt: A game for Nintendo DS, Dragon Quest: Chapters of the Chosen published by Square Enix and rated 12+ is an adventure role playing game where the player takes on the roles of five different characters to progress the story. Eventually the chracters come together to battle as they are all against the same enemy. The player starts of as the Hero who can be a male or female which makes little difference to the stories progression.
Pros: A good opening and stays true to Dragon Quest
Summary: An exellent and heart warming adventure. Gives you a real flavour for fantasy. Buy,sell, explore and fight. Use magic or simple attacks as you battle your way through hoardes of monsters on this thrilling game. I enjoyed this fantasy game and I am 8. Buy this and you will not regret it.
Summary: Well it's taken nearly two decades but finally we're starting to see the Dragon Quests of the NES/SNES era reach our shores. Dragon Quest 4 originally came out on the NES but was updated and ported to the SNES in Japan. Sadly this was never translated, so once more English speakers were denied some quality Japanese RPG's.
Summary: To be honest I don't usually go for this type of dungeon crawler game but I have to say this is genuinely fun. The graphics are simple but effective but the real hook is that it is somehow fiendishly addictive. Somehow just building up your stats by defeating more and more monsters becomes like a tic, you just can't stop. The story in some parts is excellent in others weak. Overall a good game I would recommend.
Summary: Pros: +Updated visuals, script and battle animations +Long quest +Lots of things to do off the beaten path +Not too hard +Beautiful Soundtrack Cons: -The visuals are a little sloppy -Good animations in battle, but the battle engine is very dated Dragon Quest IV first dropped down in North America as Dragon Warrior IV in 1992. This is just a year after the release of the Super Nintendo in America and also a year after the release of Final Fantasy IV.
Summary: If you are a fan of dragon quest, you will like this one too. I only ever played 'Dragon Quest: Journey of the cursed king' on PS2. then i played this one, and thought that i did like the graphics very much. the graphics look very old like the SNES style. I'm sure they can make games a lot better than that for the NDS.
