Summary: Pros: you get to synthesize creatures, gain experience when you beat the game. Cons: very easy bosses, little time to beat the game and 2-3 spots used for bug monsters. Overall: simplistic game for little kids. But, I love the square enix games like final fantasy and dragon quest. I just love the turn based gameplay and how you can create a team and use teamwork to kick butt.
Summary: This game impressed me. I looked at reviews, I looked at gameplay videos, I did my research, and still, I was not ready for this game to absorb so much time from me. The story isn't important, just like pokemon, it's about the core gameplay and mechanics. I purchased a guide for this game before playing because I wanted to know what it took to capture/create certain monsters, and the guide reveals just how many monsters are packed into this game.
Summary: This game takes everyone's(that is, everyone who's played a Dragon Quest game and liked it) favorite monsters and allows you to catch, fuse, and fight them. This is what pokemon should have-but never accomplished in terms of technical gameplay.
Summary: This game is a fantastic alternative to monster catching games like Pokemon. It has real connection to Joker 1, so feel free to jump in without playing that one. There are a ton of improvements from Joker 1 as well. The interface is more refined. Its easier to get around. The DQM Joker games are geared mainly towards those that are Dragon Quest fans, and have been following the franchise since its inception on the NES.
Summary: Fantastic game. Bigger and better than the first. You'll get 20-40 hours out of the storyline, and hundreds of hours if you want to capture / breed / fight all monsters. Tons of post-game content. Highly recommended for Dragon Quest fans, Pokemon fans, or anyone looking for a great game.
