Summary: THe game itself is alot of fun, but it has the same cases every time! the 1,000,000 dolar case is case 8 for me. if the cases were different every time, It would be a whole lot better. DONt buy this game.
Summary: First, be aware that there are TWO versions of Deal Or No Deal for the Nintendo DS. The first version, just called "Deal Or No Deal," by all accounts has the million dollars in the same case every time you play. In my copy it was in case #9 - other reviewers on Amazon have reported that it appeared in different cases in their copies, but no matter what case it was in, it was always in that case every time you played.
Summary: The actual game (you pick a case) was personally disappointing. I didn't know how the makers would bridge the gap between the show and the game, and I don't think it worked as well as I would have liked. There isn't really any suspense, and picking a great case or a terrible case doesn't give the player an emotional reaction; I just kept clicking on the touch screen to get to the next part as fast I could.
Pros: The inside of the case is quite nice; nice padding, good little areas to put things.
Cons: The case was slightly disappointing because I expected it to be of higher quality, I guess. It is gray and plastic, and while I am glad I got it, it was not what I thought I'd be getting.
Summary: I ordered this game for my 7 year old son. He loves the TV show. Unfortunately, he discovered very quickly that case #6 seems to always hold the $1M prize. My husband and I have also played the game over and over and only once or twice did another case hold the prized money. Has anyone else had this experience as well? It certainly takes the fun out of it if you know which case holds the one million dollars each time.
Summary: this game can be fun, but it's pretty repetitive - but i suppose the TV show is as well. the only strange thing was that we've played this game before (using another friends game) and this one was different than the one we'd played previous to purchase. One game had Howie, not just his voice, and the other didn't. Not that that makes that much of a difference, but there aren't that many graphics to start with...
