Summary: I really like the user interface on this software. It is crisp, clean, easy to read and easy to navigate. The handwriting recognition is superb -- capitals, lowercase, print or cursive. The sideways orientation works well, and it's comfortable to hold in that position. But.... the puzzles themselves are kind of lame. You start with a choice of Easy or Medium. On Medium: * The Medium is way too easy.
Summary: I've played the New York Times Crossword game and was looking for a change of pace when I heard of CrossworDS. Well...I have to say that I like the New Tork Times game better even though CrossworDS has Anagrams and Word Search. I found the game play for CrossworDS to be annoying with the "pink" and "blue" across and down control scheme. The New York Times version is more efficient. That's all I can say in 25 words or less.
Good game but very easy - better for younger players!

Summary: I wanted a crossword game for my DS that would entertain me (an adult). This one is fun to play but way too easy. I chose it because I find NY Times crosswords a little too challenging for me and thought this would be better, but it isn't. Where NY Times is too challenging, Crosswords DS is too easy. Someone needs to come up with a crossword game somewhere in the middle for us "average folks"!
Summary: I just got this game a day ago so I will limit my review to areas that I have played. The game is played with the DS lite held vertical (think Brain Age) It works nicely for this game too. The graphics a very nice and easy to look at ... Bright but not overly colorful. The music in the game is nothing special and quite repetitive. I think you would end up turning off anyhow since this is a word game. Now onto actual game play...
