  • Summary: I got this game a long time ago, and at that time I thought that it was the greatest game I ever had, until a week past, and I finished all the recipes. Then it got dumb and boring and now I am soo close to hating it, I play it every now and then but its the same old stuff.

  • Summary: My 4 year old was really bummed that she can't play this. I don't see how you could play it without being able to read. There are tons of written instruction. NO FUN!

I think I get more mad than anything...

R. Craite, Amazon
1 May 2010
  • Summary: Of the mama games available, this one is the worst. The time limits allowed are almost impossible to get gold for a lot of the activities. The graphics themselves are cutesy and the overall look of it is clean.

Be wary of time limits!

S. Foster "Toy Maven", Amazon
19 December 2009
  • Summary: Who can cook in TEN seconds? NOT ME! Not a bad game or bad idea, very cute graphics and okay design. HOWEVER, in all the reviews I read, I did not see anyone mention the TEN SECOND TIME LIMIT on all activities. Yikes! For a "gamer" maybe that is cool, but for the average child, no go.

it aint worth it

lisav1599, Ebay

  • Summary: This game is fine for kids. It is very hokey with it's animation. If your five year old wants to cook it might be okay for them. Anyone past ten years of age will find it very boring. Not challenging at all and the things it has you cooking are just plain stupid.

  • Summary: There are not very many levels on the game. If you beat them too quickly the game will be over in a day. I think it's a fun game for small children, but for everyone else its so so.

Not encouraging

Bibian, Amazon
9 May 2013
  • Summary: Arrived promptly but it is scary! The flaring of mamas eyes with fire when one " fails" is demoralising to myself an adult, let alone a 4 yr old. Took some working out. Perhaps good for older children

BORED.. BORED.. BORED...

EffieTrinket, amazon.co.uk
1 June 2012
  • Summary: When you first get this game or when a child gets any toy they play with it for a week or so and then they get bored. With cooking mama there is nothing to do apart from chop slice and grate, the marking scheme seems unfair.

They should change it's name to Scary Mama!

Lil L 72 "stimpson-corner", amazon.co.uk
5 March 2011
  • Summary: I've only really played this game a few times, because to be honest Mama is just so scary and freaks me out! She's rather like a demented virtual Gordon Ramsey, (only without the swearing and eyes that glow red with fire .
