Let’s boil this down to basics: I really enjoyed Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends . Of course you should keep in mind the fact that I love most quirky offerings out there in video game land, be they cute and offbeat or dark and gothic. In terms of the former category, this one definitely fits the bill, so I’m happy. Speaking more objectively, if you played the first Cooking Mama , you won’t find much of a difference between the two offerings in the series –... Read more
Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends is a worthy pickup for any gamer looking for tons of variety. It's easy to pick up and play at any time of the day no matter the length of a play session. If you're not a fan of mini game-type games then I'd recommend a rental, because the mini games can get a little boring after extended play periods for any gamer that wants more depth to their gameplay. The fun derived from this game really depends on if you can handle a variety of... Read more

I was a big fan of the original Cooking Mama when it first came out. The game was charming and quirky and took full advantage of the DS Lite's unique capabilities; it was, without a doubt, one of the better DS games I had ever played. The good news is that sequel is just as fun and improves upon the franchise's recipe in every way. Read more
All in all --- a brilliant game with all sorts of maneouvres using the stylus on the DS! Choose from tons of food, and bake it under the supervision of Mama !!! =] However, to the challenging gamer, it is bland after the first ten minutes. It has NO immediate challenge whatesoever, as even if you screw up the food REALLLY bad, mama fixes it for you!!! (i am 13 though, so younger people may find it more fun! =]) SO ---- listen uup ---- RENT IT, NOT BUY IT. You may love it... Read more
Impossibly addictive and a joy to play. Occasionally certain tasks require a frustrating amount of precision to obtain a perfect score. There is a nice amount of dishes to make (though I wouldn't use this as a reliable cook book) and each part of the process has its own minigame. There is a challenging difficulty level to achieve perfect scores, but it is easy enough for younger players to complete the recipes, and the presentation is charming. Read more
The video game is delightful. It is very fun and easy to understand. It does not get old. The video game has a lot of recipes you can try. Some are easy and some are hard and many in between. Perfect for any age. It is cool beause, if you want, you can write down what you had to do to make the food and then actually make it! I've been meaning to try that. There are a lot of different, fun steps in making each dish. There are 80 recipes that you can master. My favorites... Read more
