3000 characters left, and I'm playing a video game.
6 November 2014
Summary: This game is fun and hard- cough- challenging. Plus it is packed with summaries of every previous contra game and let's you play the original contra from the menu, just to remind yourself to get back on that horse and try again. You will not just run through the game like the you tube video. You must grow to enjoy dying for every inch of screen, and while not as disgusting as the ps2 versions, the levels remain inventive and -snort- well, I'm sure I'll see them some day.
Summary: I loved contra as a kid, but playing this now feels outdated, i get the devs wanted that original contra experience, but times have changed and as much as i loved pacman as a kid, i would not buy a remake of the game that refused to add anything modern on a next gen console...
Summary: Awesome game play challenging and addicting, a remixed version of previous Contra's. Unlock bonus, weapon upgrades, multiple characters, new ability. A little bit on the difficult side of game play. But overall if your a fan of Contra this is a must have to your collection or if your new to the series.
Summary: How can a old NES Contra man like me not give this 5 stars? Let me just say up front. that the biggest flaw in this game is the dual screens. There is a little dead zone between the upper and lower screens were bullets like to hide and suddenly come out of nowhere. This is absolutely infuriating for the first few hours of play. But eventually you get used to is and learn to watch even closer to what is going in in BOTH screens.
