It took over a year...

Laura Rojas, Amazon
10 February 2014
  • Summary: I finally got it, and played it until I beat it. I thought it would be a little more challenging, but it's okay.

  • Summary: I'm a huge RPG player for what it's worth. I was expecting something a bit different with this title. It has many great reviews and often gets compared to one of my favorite SNES games "Earthbound", so I gave it a shot since it was like 10 bucks on amazon as it's been out a few years now. For one thing, the story is pretty boring. Aside from the occasionally witty dialog and constant references to old classic video games, there isn't much else in the way of a "story".

Great for a JRPG

Doesn't Want Lunch, Amazon
2 August 2011
  • Summary: Let me say right now that if you're on the fence about buying Contact, this game has level grinding on par with an MMORPG. If you don't have that much patience, this game is not for you. If you can tolerate grinding, then continue reading. Contact is a unique game made in joint by Marvelous Entertainment, a group best known for the Harvest Moon series, and Grasshopper Manufacturer, perhaps best known for Killer 7.

sleeper

Clockmilk, Amazon
22 March 2011
  • Summary: This was one of the most frustrating RPGs I've played while simultaneously being one of my most beloved. Everything they say about it is true. It's quirky and offbeat. Old fashioned in its scope yet modern in its pop culture references. I almost quit the game a third of the way through because the fighting system was just too annoying, somehow managing to be slower than real-time fighting AND turn based fighting. But I stuck it through and was so glad I did.

Contact (2006) Review

Marco Rivers, Amazon
18 March 2011
  • Summary: A man known as Professor has crash landed on an island and he needs help to fix his space ship so he can return to his home planet. That is where you and Terry come in. Terry, the young boy whom the Professor recruits, is not exactly experienced in saving the world - that is where you come in. As an experienced gamer surely you've saved the world a couple dozen times or so.

Its an OK game

Cincy 326, Amazon
20 February 2011
  • Summary: This is one of the easier Atlus games, so I was able to make it through several stages before getting stumped. Pros: --- Most of the in game functions can be done via touch screen. --- The main character can change outfits in order to use different abilities. --- There are a variety of weapons in the game. --- The game is difficult enough to be challenging, but not so much so that it isn't fun.

Good game, could be better

Z. Raizen, Amazon
19 February 2011
  • Summary: The game is fun and has many fun concepts and some variety to it, but I have played better games. There is a real lack of direction, and after about 4 hours of play, my interest has somewhat waned.

  • Summary: The visual is great. Not only that, the combat system is also different from standard RPG, where you extend your level/ability based on action. I'm almost miss this baby. Thx play-asia!!!

  • Summary: This is a weird little game. it's crazy, unique, and so incredibly fun and addictive it's insane. If you like earthbound, and killer seven, you've just found their love child.
