Club Penguin Herbert's Revenge
Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
Excerpt: Kids games have come a long way in recent years. Club Penguin Herbert's Revenge is the perfect example of how far they have come. As an adult I enjoyed this Nintendo DS game. One of the coolest features in Club Penguin Herbert's Revenge is its connectivity to the clubpenguin.com account. If you are unfamiliar with this franchise, then let me explain briefly. Club Penguin Herbert's Revenge is part scavenger hunt, part spy game, and part mini game compilation.
Summary: Parents need to know that this is a game based on the world created in Club Penguin.com . Similar to the Web site, you create a penguin avatar to represent you as you waddle through this mission-based game. This DS game has a direct tie-in to the Web site because kids can transfer the coins they earn in the game to their account online via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Summary: Parents need to know that Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force: Herbert's Revenge is a cute, nonviolent "secret agent" game for younger kids. But be aware that it is heavily tied in to the Club Penguin website, a social gaming community run by Disney. While this game can easily be enjoyed by kids who don't take part in -- or have even never heard of -- Club Penguin, the lure of extra coins, exclusive mini-games, and secret unlockable items may spark interest in the site.
