Don't buy for DS
16 November 2012
Summary: My least favorite search and find style game (I probably liked MillionHeir the best). Silly, annoying storyline and glitchy production. This was definitely not created for a DS, or even reasonably adapted for it.
Don't get the Nintendo DS version ( too frustrating )

Summary: If you insist on purchasing this game, make sure you purchase a magnifying glass as well. Look, you will almost go blind trying to locate objects that are only a few pixels in size on that tiny DS screen. Sorry, but that is not the point of the challenge in this game.
Summary: This game is really just a search and find game. If you are thinking your getting something where you are a detective and find clues and solve cases, this is not the game for you. If you like to search and find over and over and over and over and over...then you will have fun.
Summary: Warning: this game will strain your eyes! I rarely even consider reviewing a game before finishing it, but I'm prepared to make an exception for The Vanishing Files. I had actually wanted this game for some time -- not desperately, but it looked interesting, and I like mysteries.
Summary: I have already played the 3 games with the seek an item format. I thought this one would be the same. It is very hard to find alot of the items listed, even with the zoom on it. I end up touching most everything on the screen or use the hint button. Like another reviewer said...
Excerpt: When I got my laptop a year ago I started to use it for gaming, and have downloaded quite a few hidden object games. If you have never played one, a hidden object game is where you get a detailed scene on the screen, and a list of items to find within that picture - kind of a Where's Wally for the...
Summary: I enjoy this type of game so the concept of Vanishing Files is much fun to play. The graphics on each scene, however are very poor which makes it much more difficult to find things. Although I have enjoyed the game I have found it very frustrating.
Summary: I agree 100% with the previous reviewer. I was really looking forward to this game, I was expecting a cross between Professor Layton and Hotel Dusk after reading the previews. What you have is Millionheir albeit with a different story, save your money there are better games out there.
Summary: Very boring game. As one of the previous reviewers said, the format is just spot the difference, search and find, spot the criminal over and over again. I got bored after the first couple of chapters and didn't even finish the game. Very disappointing, especially given the price.
Summary: I agree with the reviewer that said this game was tedious and boring as you were just doing the same thing over again in the same scenes. I have played other mystery games such as Secret files and Hotel Dusk and there was no comparison.
