Small issues with game cartridge and freezing

Jace, Amazon
6 December 2013
  • Summary: Game worked fine for the most part and was included with case. Was able to play through the game entirely with almost no issues. However, sometimes the game would simply freeze and I would be forced to restart and on a few occasions sprites would disappear.

Fun, but not a classic.

  • Summary: Let me start off by saying that this game was pretty fun, and I would say that it's worth the money if it's something that's on your "might buy" list. But, it's nothing near a classic. It doesn't compare with Symphony of the Night.

Dawn of Sorrow 1.5: Portrait of Ruin

E. Lee, Amazon
8 May 2007
  • Summary: This game would've score much higher if it wasn't a sucessor to Dawn of sorrow which is one of my favorite Castlevania games. It was still pretty fun, mind you, but I felt like I was playing Dawn of Sorry with differnt characters most of the time.

Pretty fun but it's beating a dead horse at this point.

There's No Stopping Space Vikings T. Edwards!, Amazon
4 May 2007
  • Summary: From the second I played I knew that I strongly desired a sequel to the game. I had really wanted something with top notch 2D work like and for it to be on a console but I suppose my hunger was sated by the various Gameboy titles.

A nice introduction to the castlevania series.

  • Summary: Having never played a Castlevania game before, Portrait of Ruin impressed me considerably as a fresh new and innovative re- imagining of the series for the Nintendo DS. Essentially a 2D sidec scrolling platformer akin to its predecessors, Portrait of Ruin centres around the exploits of two young...

Drac's Back

dudeglove, Ciao
27 August 2007

  • Pros: Action - packed
  • Cons: Difficult from the off

  • Summary: De tidigare Castlevania spelen var helt fantastiska. Sen kom Castlevania Portrait of Ruin och i mitt tycke är spelet det sämsta i serien. Man får spela som Jonathan Morris och Charlotte Aulin som kan gå igenom målningar för att ta sig till andra världar.
