Sega Casino Review

19 January 2006
  • Excerpt: Even though Sega Casino for the Nintendo DS includes a pair of poker variants, the main share of games included on the game card are odds-based games like roulette and craps. By nature, odds-based games are less interactive than skill-based games, so, in turn, this collection of casino games is primarily a passive exercise. To further complicate matters, the artificial intelligence programming in the two poker games is rudimentary at best.
  • Pros: Healthy selection of casino parlor games, Odds-based games like roulette are nicely done, Single-card multiplayer for up to five players
  • Cons: Poker games are worthless due to weak AI, Not much to do except bet and wait while playing the other games, Presentation is bare-bones

Official Nintendo Magazine
26 October 2007
  • Excerpt: You can't turn on the TV or pick up a magazine without seeing something about poker. Or online gambling. Or gambling on poker online. Combine this with the law that says every new handheld console always gets a compilation of card games and it's no surprise to see Sega Casino swagger into view, chomping on a huge cigar and with giggling girls on each arm.

Sega Casino

15 October 2007
