Summary: I loved Diner Dash, so I thought I would try this game. It was fun, don't get me wrong. But it was just WAY too quick! I had beaten the game in 2-3 days! I only played this game at night, so it wasn't all day either. I saw better reviews for the other Cake Mania games but I wanted to play the original first. I had bought/played Cake Mania 2 after this one and it was a bit better. But, Diner Dash still wins!
Summary: Cake Mania involves a lot of frustrating strategy but still keeps me wanting to play more, to beat the game. I have had this game for about 4 years and I still haven't beat the game, mostly because it is very challenging and has annoying game play. Cake Mania doesn't show any good capabilities for the Nintendo DS, the controls are annoying, the graphics are 3 star worth, and has nothing except the main story.

Summary: I loved playing Cake Mania on the computer so I figured that buying it for the DS would be a pretty safe bet. Oh boy, I had no idea what I was getting myself into... The game idea is the same as the internet version. Our plucky heroine has returned from college & discovered that the family bakery has been closed by a huge corporation. (Sales were terrible.
Don't expect it to be exactly like the computer game

Summary: I initially got hooked on Cake Mania when playing it at Yahoo games and when it was available for Nintendo DS, I was so excited that I pre-ordered the game. When I finally got it a few weeks later, I was pretty disappointed as it wasn't as fun as playing it on the computer. First of all, because the screen is so small, whenever Jill moves from one end of the kitchen to another, the screen moves with it causing me to hit the wrong frosting color/cake shape/cake topping...
Summary: This is definitely not a relaxing game to play. There are many things to juggle and a lot to keep track of. I actually tell my husband when I'm going to play just so he won't talk to me otherwise he'll break my concentration. The frustration comes into play most when frosting a cake. The frosting icons are small enough so that when you mean to hit one with your stylus you can actually wind up hitting another and that ruins a cake.
Summary: Cake Mania for the DS is a game I've had for a good while now and one I slightly regret getting back into because at times it can be so frustrating and other times I just can't stop playing. The game is basically running a cake shop. You're a lone employee called Jill who must serve all the customers and reach a target to be able to complete each month.
Summary: Cake mania is a great game for the DS and is based on the PC game. If you have never played it before, basically what you have to do is take customers orders and make the cake that they want. It seems easy, but it gets harder! If customers get angry, they leave. Some customers will want a double cake with different kinds of icing on the top. Different customers tip differently and it's a great game to play!
Pros: you can upgrade your equipment and its easy to do because of the touchscreen
Summary: It's no secret to my family and friends that I'm a big fan of cakes. It's for this reason that a handheld video game based entirely around cakes caught my eye. Partly due to this, and partly due to my unexpected enjoyment of the Gordon Ramsey cooking game, I picked up Cake Mania. The premise is, you run a cake shop, and you absolutely MUST sell lots and lots of cakes to compete with the big supermarket that's opened up nearby. So it's time to bake bake bake.
Pros: Lots of fun, anything based around cake is good by me
Cons: Extreme difficulty and problems with control
