Very Fun!

Max, Amazon
4 January 2013
  • Summary: The game was very fun, the graphics are what you would expect from a DS game, you can tell they did theyre best, its not a freaking PS3 so idk why people expect so much. The frame rate however was amazing! Everything moves so smooth, the story mode was ok, you can tell they just made it up to give you an excuse to "Run and Gun". Which is fine with me because thats what im all about. What is the most fun though, was multiplayer.

Don't buy.

Izzy Xavish, Amazon
16 March 2012
  • Summary: more like C.R.A.P.. SP Campaign is very short and very bland, You could probably beat the game in less than an hour. Music is repeditive, level design is basic and AI is just stupid. It calls itself a "classic shooter" but It would be a spec of dust compared to the greatness of Doom or Quake, Which, if you have an R4, Acekard or other Homebrew running slot 1 cartridge along with the original disks for the games, you can get unofficial DS ports of both.

  • Summary: The game is great running at a smooth 60FPS with great graphics. the story is okay but somewhat difficult, and multplayer would have been perfect bigger with maps and online play, but overall it's a fantastic first person shooter for DS

Annoying controls

Sim, Amazon
4 November 2011
  • Summary: The controls of this game were very hard for me to handle. I really tried but just could not get through the hurdle that the system was for this type of game. Anyway, it may be okay for a RIGHT handed person (which I still doubt), but my being LEFT handed, I was supposed to use the D-pad to move (forward, back, strafe left, strafe right) and the touch screen to aim (right hand in order to turn and aim) with the left forefinger to primary fire and left finger to alternate...

Over the next two decades, an underground research facility is built to examine the extraterrestrial origins and the bizarre effects that the meteor is having on the natural environment and the people who come in contact with it. When all communications are lost with the facility, you(as Jason Crane) go into investigate and establish contact once again.

User Review

3 November 2009
  • Summary: The good side is the control is acceptable to play with. I was a bit skeptic about the control scheme, but it turns out OK. Also the graphic is acceptable given the capability of DS graphic. It's just like playing the old day's Quake :) The down sides are the aim/focus aim is sometime inaccurate and the game's difficulty is barely different. It's hard, no matter the level you choose.

Disapointing.

J. Schexnayder, Amazon
13 September 2009
  • Summary: So, I saw this game was a first person shooter, and I thought it would be pretty cool. Then I got the game. I was horribly disapointed, the graphics are last-gen, the gameplay was okay, not anywhere close to clean cut, the hit detection was pretty iffy, and the weapons were dull. Boss fights were a joke and level design was astoundingly boring. Don't waste your time or money.

C.O.R.E. for the DS Review

R. E. James "video potato", Amazon
12 September 2009
  • Summary: If you have played MOON for the DS you will be disappointed with CORE. While CORE has great graphics it lacks the basics to make game play fun and smooth. The mission you are on doesn't make much sense and the lack of a map is very frustrating. You have corridors with lots of doors and few open. It's much like being herded rather than exploring.
