Very good game

Chris Garr, Amazon
13 October 2013
  • Summary: Great game, true classic Tecmo. Only downfall is every team's players have the same #, for example every QB is #9, and editing the teams in a tedious process. Game also gets a little repetitive, but still very entertaining!

Pat, I think these people are here for a game of FOOTBALL!!!

Jeremy Ogre, Amazon
23 December 2011
  • Summary: I would like to start off by saying I'm not a Maddenite when it comes to football video games. Running a long season, tracking stats, trading players, these things are not what I look for. What I like is a simple, fun to play football game that I can truck through real quick, and this game gives me that in spades. Passing and running plays are simply executed, and the presentation is fast paced and enjoyable.

It wasn't what I expected

Michael Zack, Amazon
28 December 2010
  • Summary: I expected Tecmo Bowl like it used to be. The teams would have established players with their own unique stats. These players would give each team a unique strength and weakness. That's how it used to be. These players would compliment the pre-selected plays and allow a chance to play, or replay, a season with the unique play that only tecmo bowl can create. This wasn't it at all. Every player on this game is "customizable.

Good remake of the classic.

S. Shirel, Amazon
27 December 2010
  • Summary: Overall for the price a fun football game. My 8 year old and I have played this a lot this holiday. The gameplay is fun especially the easy play calling. Playing a Detroit Lions(edited the name easily) season and we're 13-2 thus far entering the playoffs. Yes there are no real teams, but come on, this a DS game. To me a DS game should entertain my pre-kids. Graphics are way better than the original NES Tecmo that we downloaded to wii.

Great FOOTBALL classic is back.....too easy to master

</><, Amazon
3 December 2010
  • Summary: Plays the like the original TechmoBowl...too bad they didnt just reboot the "SuperBowl" version, but this has some upside....and some downside. The BAD: On a kickoff, you MUST run it out of the End Zone or it's a Safety. A major flaw for sure, so...just run it out. One HUGE flaw is when you are selecting the next play, you have NO IDEA where you are on the field! I mean how could they not catch this??

Great Game

David R. Nunez, Amazon
23 June 2010
  • Summary: This is a Great game. This game is not less fun because its not NFL teams or players. Actually for all teams, I changed the names of the teams to the NFL teams, and i made their uniforms look like their team. Just for the Browns, cause their my favorite team, i changed all of the players names to the names of the Browns players. this game is tons of fun. it is just football and thats what i wanted.

Disappointing "reboot"

Irwin M. Fletcher, Amazon
8 May 2010
  • Summary: When I was a teenager in the early-mid 90s, Tecmo Super Bowl was probably my most-played NES game ever--even beating out other personal favorites such as Final Fantasy, Zelda, StarTropics and the Castlevania series. TSB was addictive like crack, extremely fun as a two-player quick-fix with buddies, and had infinite replayability due to its season mode and stat tracking. I still own a copy for the NES, with a recently-replaced save battery.
