The most underrated RPG in history...a flawed Masterpiece.

Summary: Black Sigil was made by like 8 people and its well crafted story, colorful cast of characters and unique battle system are really marvelous. The story and characters surpass even some of Square-enix's best efforts and nod to games like FF6 without blatantly hit you upside the head. Now many will criticize the graphics for one... but the detail in the castles and interior dungeons was actually pretty nice... please realize this game started as a GBA title.
The most geographically expansive and detailed RPG i've ever played!

Summary: Give this game a shot! It is the most geographically expansive and detailed RPG I’ve ever played, for example every house in every town is accessible, complete with rooms, secret areas, and items galore. Every individual room has artistic value and is rarely the same as another room. Add to that the fact that the towns are freaking huge and you can actually get lost easily in this game.
Summary: Ok so first, I must say I got this game because it was cheap, and kept playing it cause it was good. I looked at the game, saw it was cheap and looked cool. I was right with both. Love the gameplay and the storyline. If you liked Chrono Trigger you'll like this.
Summary: I don't know where to start. This is truly an AMAZING rpg!! It's like Chrono Trigger in gameplay. The characters are truly memorable as is the stroryline. The music is top notch and really complements the gameplay.
Summary: I can't say enough good things about this awesome RPG!! This is the best the RPG genre has to offer. For people to say this is crap/discrdit this; they aren't gamers at all. This is a perfect combination of Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, and Chrono Trigger. The characters are intresting and the plot is intreaging. This is a must have for the TRUE gamer and a must for fans of rpgs! I highly recommend this to anyone! It's worth every penny!
Summary: Black Sigil got alot of bad reviews early on, I was not sure if I was going to enjoy it. I must say It highly exceeded my expectations Black Sigil is a classic-style JRPG which will bring players back to the days of games like FF6, FF4, Wild Arms, Breath of Fire and so on. This game is often compared to Chrono Trigger, although prime in it's time Chrono Trigger is quite bland in comparison to this game, Black Sigil DS is much better.
This is What the Game Industry Needs and Consumers Don't Seem to Want

Summary: Listen the game is buggy, dated, and flawed but it is a sterling effort from a fledgling developer. That is the reason for the high overall score and the low fun score. Do know that while it is compared to Chrono Trigger, it is not Chrono Trigger. The difference being story setting and battle. The twist on battle is supposed to be that position matters but largely it doesn't. Mostly it just serves to slow down battle if you want to use a regular attack.
Summary: Pros: - 16-Bit love (music and graphics) - is real close to japanese RPGs for being made by a western studio - nice charactres - good story - active-time-battle, almost like in Chrono Trigger Cons: - you can just walk on the worldmap - savepoints are pretty damn rare and almost every town got none of it (you have to save on the worldmap) - production of package and manual are horrible.
Summary: So what this game is... Is... Well... An almost-typical RPG with a semi-unique battle system (depends on how you look at it...) The overall difficulty isn't hard enough to drive away new players, yet it doesn't spoon feed you. It's basically your run of the mill RPG with a few tweaks, but the story and line up of characters isn't generic in anyway what-so-ever. Also: there are no glitches within this game.
Summary: I got my game yesterday and haven't put the game down yet. I've been waiting for this game to come out. The graphics and gameplay was what I expected, OLDSCHOOL. They don't make games like this anymore!Battle system was user friendly. Enemy encounters was pretty high but didn't stop me from enjoying this game. What made this especially special was the characters. EPIC GAME!
