Excerpt: Have you ever wanted a whole band in your pocket? Wait. That came out wrong. I meant have you wanted to carry around a band in your pocket? From the people that bring you Guitar Hero comes the latest in pocket-sized percussion, Band Hero for the Nintendo DS (DS Lite, but not the DSi, however).
Excerpt: game would be coming to DS, people wondered exactly how that'd even work. The eventual result of putting a special controller into the GBA slot was pretty slick considering the immense challenge, even if it was entirely awkward and goofy-looking when played out in public.
Summary: With Band Hero, you can come together with family and friends to ascend the virtual stage and rise to fame, bringing you a new genre of music focused on today's hottest top-40 hits and classic anthems that everyone will know.

Summary: Though you can't blame Activision for wanting to extend one of their most valuable brands to as many platforms as possible, they've done a disservice to both the brand and the unique strengths of the DS in this shoe-horn job.
Pros: Drum pad peripheral works, Karaoke on-the-go, Multiplayer modes are good, if basic
Cons: Awful song selection, No real structure, Gameplay doesn't really work for portables, Only 30 songs
