Summary: The original Assassin's Creed for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 was highly anticipated - for once, you could blend into crowds, scale walls and perform acrobatic stunts, just like an assassin. So it isn't much of a surprise that another game from the series would appear.
Although there are glimpses of fun to be found, this game is ultimately rather directionless

Excerpt: Appearing on the X Box 360, PS3 and the PC, Assassin's Creed is definitely one of the most celebrated video game titles of the past couple of years, with its unique medieval Middle-East setting, compelling storyline, beautiful visuals and freeform gameplay.
A few fun parts of the game are completely destroyed by several problems

Excerpt: Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles, from what I understand, is the prequel to the console version of the title Assassin's Creed. However, just a few screenshots from both titles alert you immediately to the fact that while the games share the same name, they're drastically different.
Excerpt: I rented this game to accompany the Assassin's Creed game for Playstation 3. The game is a prequel to it and is great fun gut not the best game to buy. The game isn't as good as the console version with some problems.
