Summary: This game is awesome. I popped it in during a 12-hour flight and couldn't put it down. It's basically a clone of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night in terms of having a map of worlds that you are constantly working to unlock. The animation of your heroine is amazingly smooth and tight. It also has some fun character designs that reminds me of the days of Treasure on the PSX. This game was obviously inspired by the best of the 2D genre.
Summary: A very fun metroidvania that can appeal to both kids and adults. My only complaint is you go through an entire section of the game map only to have to run all the way back there after picking up a certain item or gaining a certain skill. The back-tracking has little to do with function, but more to do with overall hours in the game. I'd rather the game just be shorter than being forced to back-track endlessly.
Summary: Monster Tale is one of the best Nintendo DS games I have ever played. I mean when you look at the cover of the box it says, "The next great DS game," and Nintendo Power who wrote that isn't joking around. The story of the game is your a girl who happens to find the portal to a monster world that has been over run by other kids who treat the monsters as their slaves.
Summary: This is a pretty simple game, but it is exactly what I've been looking for in a while. A game where you can tell the people wanted to make a game they would love. Think Metroid with the main character, where she gains abilities and power ups that help her get past obsticals, but then she has a tamagatchi you can feed and train that destroys the enemies. It's an excellent game, it's a little short, but great nonetheless.
Summary: A lot of times when a video game system is almost defunct, some really good games come out for it near the end of its retail life. That is typically because video game developers get really good at exploiting the system's capabilities to the fullest because it's been around for so long. Unfortunately, during that time, most players' eyes are on the next new system, and these little gems of games tend to get underappreciated and overlooked.
Summary: Games like this arent created often anymore. This is a rare treat and it is a must own game for the ds there isnt much that i can say about the game that other reviewers havent already said about it. If you like platformer games then this is one of the best ones that you can buy.
